I need a good interface module for when you are creating posts.  I like the one that www.opensourcecatholic.com is currently using.  What is it called?  I know you've experimented with others in the past.  What would you reccomend?  Thanks : )

I'm using CKEditor right

I'm using CKEditor right now... It's a beta version, but I should probably upgrade to 3.1.x, in order to fix a couple odd bugs.

CKEditor works with either the actual CKEditor module (which I prefer), or with WYSIWYG (which is a little better at configuration per node type, user role, etc.).

how about tell us how you got image upload to work with CKEditor on OSC? I can't figure it out, had it working perfectly on FCKeditor....

Question

When installing CKEditor it says to place the folder in the "root of your web site," but wouldn't you put it in the sites/all/modules folder?

You should use CKEditor

You should use CKEditor through the excellent WYSIWYG module, or through the CKEditor module.

Okay, but...

What is confusing me though is that there are two CKEditor parts right?

• CKEditor_3.1
• CKEditor-6.x-1.0

Where should I place each of these?

Inside the CKEditor 6.x

Inside the CKEditor 6.x module, there's a README.txt file with instructions on where to place the ckeditor source (the other file - 3.1 - that you downloaded from the CKEditor website).

WYSIWYG has you place it in a different location than CKEditor (WYSIWYG uses a library folder, whereas CKEditor puts the editor source files directly inside the module).

Fingers Crossed

I know what I was doing wrong. I had the ckeditor folder in site/all/modules/ckeditor/ instead of site/all/modules/ckeditor/ckeditor. I'm pretty sure I have it now. We'll see. Thanks again for your help.

Here is a how-to for anyone who is going the Drupal 6.x + CKeditor 3.x + WYSIWYG API 2.x rout.
