Has anyone used Artisteer for template/theme creation?  I'm using a demo and this looks really nice especailly for free project that I don't want to spend a whole lot of time having to tweak style sheets.   Price is reasonable for the amount of time it will save me.  Works for Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress, Blogger.

A few months ago I downloaded

A few months ago I downloaded the demo and gave it a go. Thought it was just OK. I think it would be fine for a small project perhaps.

I read the forums quite a bit as well. It seems like while the design aspect of the templates seem to work well, but how they integrate specifically with Drupal and Joomla leaves a bit to be desired. I'd recommend perusing those forums to get a flavor of what you'll be dealing with.

If you want to shave development time in Joomla, you could check out the Morph template from Joomla Junkie. You can start with a basic vanilla themelet or a more advanced one, but then you have an enormous amount of styling control to tweak it. Drupal Gardens kind of reminds me of Morph.

Good luck, looking forward to hearing how it goes.

I purchased Artisteer

I bought it about 5 months ago, and I LOVE it. I would recommend it for anybody who is looking for easy yet professional looking templates.

Thank you both for feedback.

@catholicservant I will check out the forums. I had a feeling that it couldn't be perfect since components like JEvents use a completely separate styling than the actual template does. (It would be nice if Joomla set a standard that any components allow to default to the template color scheme). I like the fact that they have a link to send feedback right from within the UI(it certainly has alot of potential if the templates can become more reliable). At any rate, for my Q&D projects I think this will fit the bill. And thanks for the tip on Morph, I will check it out.

@jemge01 Do you use Artisteer for Joomla?

Not just for small projects

We spent some time creating a nice header to personalize our template and the final result was surprising - take a look for yourself at our catholic church website http://www.catolicosnaflorida.org

Artisteer is great for Wordpress

Personally, I've had a lot of success with Artisteer. In particular, it works quite well with Wordpress. A decent bunch of tutorials can be found over at http://www.automated-web-design.com
