I've got a client in another state that I'm going to do some remote training with later this week. In the past, I've used Zoho Meeting (free) which has worked OK, but I'm looking for something a bit more robust.

I'd rather not use the more expensive stuff like Webex...any other recommendations free/pay?

I'd prefer something OS-independant (Mac/PC).

Thanks!

Craig

 I've used Webex and Adobe

I've used Webex and Adobe Connect at work.  WebEx is great, I swear by it - oh wait, Matt 5:34 ... Well I like it at any rate.  I have not tried any free offerings, but WebEx is OS independant.

Had to laugh at the Matthew

Had to laugh at the Matthew 5:34 reference! (Only on OSC...).

Go-to-meeting

I've been a part of some Gotomeeting.com meetings and they seem to work well.  Not sure on costs and comparisons though.  But they are worth checking out!

Go2Meeting is my favorite, but there is a monthly service fee.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Kind of a bummer though.

I signed up for a 30-day trial of GoToAssist Express (VERY cool) and it was slick. Fired up a session and I had the other end connected in no time by just kicking off an auto-generated email.

Then the SLLLLOOOOWWWW response. Big buzzkill.

She had an older G4 Mac running OS 10.4.something with about 500Megs of RAM. I checked and her CPU was pegged.

So....

I did the entire 60-minute training session today flying blind. Fortunately, I'm doing a 3-day site visit next month.

BTW...this Goto product is pretty pricey...something like $70/month. They do offer a day rate of $10...so maybe this fits a niche.

Acrobat.com

I would have reccomended Acrobat.com, however they just switched to subscription and are pretty pricy.  Everything used to be free when it was in Beta : (

Yes, Adobe does now.  Its

Yes, Adobe does now.  Its called Adobe Acrobat Connect.  I've used it and it is decent, not as nice as WebEx though, but it is comparable.
