New site asks: Have you considered your future in vestments?

Vocation Boom Catholic priesthood

Vocation Boom! is an integrated campaign focused on supporting the Catholic priesthood as a life’s vocation and mission. The campaign includes marketing strategy, creative development, video and web. Other marketing initiatives include collateral materials, social media and a blog by founder, Jerry Usher. Vocation Boom! has an opportunity to engage young men who may be experiencing God’s call. Through this campaign we are communicating the beauty and complexity of the priesthood, the variety of emotions discerners may experience and that men considering the priesthood are just normal, regular guys –- your son, your friend, your neighbor. We really took a different approach with the message, too. We wanted to appeal to a younger demographic in both tone and delivery. Vocation Boom! is engaging, youthful and inspiring while still being about God’s call.

I especially like the Video Gallery page. I don't know if any of you watched "God or the Girl" when it aired on A&E (http://www.aetv.com/godorthegirl/), but a friend that I grew up with, lived in the same house as Dan (and appears in some of the episodes). I bought this series on DVD with some Amazon gift cards from Christmas. I got it in the mail last week and am enjoying watching it all over again.

Cade_One: thanks for checking out the site. It's a work in progress. We just uploaded audio from the Vocation Boom Road Show, featuring seminarians. Good stuff. God or the Girl I have not seen -- but do remember a lot of controversy before it ran. I'll have to see if netflix has it. Thanks! Dino
