Saint Louis Review

The Saint Louis Review

The Saint Louis Review is the official publication of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Saint Louis. The newspaper has been in print since the 1930s, and online since the late 90s. Shortly after the start of the new millenium, the website was set up with a custom content management system, and all stories from the print edition were posted to the website (over 16,000 articles in all!).

Towards the end of this decade, the Review decided to devote a little more of its resources to its web edition, following the conventions of the print industry at large, and created this updated website, which uses Drupal for it's content management, OpenX for ad serving, and will eventually integrate more into the Archdiocesan website. The new site includes many news feeds, new subscriber-only features, and will soon also have even more community-oriented features.

You can read a case study about how the website was built on Midwestern Mac's website.
