  • Migrate Content from ASP site to Joomla/PHP

    Hello,

Anyone here have any experience migrating ASP content to Joomla?

There's not a huge budget for this, but hopefully it's a 'simple' (yeah right!) job.

I'm building a Joomla site for a Catholic newspaper, but 2 years of content is sitting on their old hosting provider (Going1up.com). The last time I built a Joomla site for one of their previous customers, I got a CD with everything in an Access db. Since it wasn't a requirement to maintain/keep this info, we skipped it.

I can be reached at catholicservant@gmail.com.

    Thanks!...

  • Drupal Questions

    Hello,

Joomla admin here, building my first Drupal site...couple questions...

    1. Can you recommend some 'must-have' modules?
    2. Is there a good 'backup' module that'll backup the db and files?
    3. Coming from Joomla, you can assign content such as side-bars, modules, etc to specific pages by assigning them to menu items. How do you do this in Drupal?
    4. Theming - I've seen people discuss using Zen as a base template and then customizing it. Any tutorials on this?
    5. Any recommended default type settings? For example, I almost always enable global caching and gzip...

  • CSS issue in IE6 (go figure!)

    Howdy,

Here's the short of it: IE6 isn't respecting...(IE7, FF, Opera, Safari, Chrome all do!)

    .-icon #searchmod {background:none !important;}

    The longer story...

I've got a search module element that is styled and when I assign another custom html element to that position, it's picking up the styling.

So...any suggestions on how to tell IE6 to not style my new element?

    Thanks!

    Craig

  • Video Editing Software

[Some good discussion going on in the forums about video editing software – OSC]

Can anyone recommend video editing software with a user friendly interface (for PC...)?  Our Archdiocese is attempting to do a video contest for the Year for Priests, but to do that we have to have the ability to do at least minor edits.  Neither of the two people in our office have had experience with editing, and so far we have found Vegas Studio to be a bit of a headache...  We have also...
